Hi, I’m Sarah and I’m excited to join A Walk for All Seasons! I live in Highland Park and I’m looking forward to helping with local dog, cat, and other pet needs. I am an animal lover at heart and although I don’t currently own a pet of my own, those in my past hold a very special place in my heart. Growing up we had a cat named Pepper who would constantly sit on my homework and in my dresser drawers. When I went off to college my family adopted a dog, Bailey, who I looked forward to spending time with every chance I got to visit home. Before my husband and I married and started a family, we adopted a cat named Rimbaldi who was a playful, loving companion to me when my husband traveled for work. He stayed with us for 12 years and brought many cuddles and much joy to our lives. Earlier in my adulthood I taught elementary Spanish in Wilmette and Winnetka. These days, I am focused on raising my two boys, ages 4 and 11, and I consider my mom’s dog, Loki, to be a member of my family. He often visits and stays with us when she travels and we enjoy caring for him. I look forward to treating the dogs, cats, and other animals that are assigned to me with similar fondness and love. When I am not busy with my family I enjoy walking outdoors in local nature and forest preserves, reading, cooking, baking, and spending time with friends.
