Hi!  My name is Gabe (34), and I’ve lived in Libertyville since 2021.  I’m originally from mid-Michigan and met my wife at Michigan State (Go Green!).  She’s a Lake Bluff native, so after college, we both got jobs in Chicago and moved to the city in 2015.  After a few years there, we eventually trickled north and now have a 3-year-old daughter and an 8-year-old pup, Allie!

Back in the Mitten, I was lucky enough to be born with FIVE dog-siblings.  When my mom and dad met, one had 3 golden retrievers, and one had 2 yellow labs.  My first “chore” as a toddler was feeding the five dogs, and I haven’t looked back.  My parents were well known dog-lovers, so neighbors and friends trusted me from a young age to help with their pets when they were busy or out of town.  After our original five dogs passed, we rescued Jake, a golden/husky mix.  He was my rock through high school and college, and passed just a couple of months after my move to Chicago.  In 2018, my wife and I rescued Allie, and she has been the glue to our little family ever since.
