Hi there! My name is Melissa and I’m excited to be a part of the A Walk For All Seasons family. I have lived in Lake County for the past three years and spent most of my childhood right next door in McHenry County where I grew up in a home with dogs, fish, mice, hamsters and birds. My love for animals continued into adulthood and I adopted my first pup, a puppy mill mom from a Chicagoland pug rescue. I currently have a French Bulldog named Pixie who has been my ride or die for the past 11 years and the best co-pilot through a few out of state career moves. Being on anti-seizure meds hasn’t stopped her from living her best life with all of her favorite things: couch snuggles, long walks, play dates with her Pomsky cousin and peanut butter treats. Her current medical condition not only keeps me on my toes but has given me invaluable experience when it comes to administering medications, monitoring symptoms and following
specific care plans.
When I’m not helping out at A Walk for All Seasons, I work full time as a design manager. In my free time, you can find me hanging out with my pup and boyfriend, spending time with family and friends, reading books off of the NYT best sellers list, and baking chocolate inspired
desserts.
I look forward to taking care of your pets with a level of care and attention to detail as if they were my own, providing a safe and fun environment while you’re away.
