My love and passion for animals began at an early age. Growing up in Mundelein, We always had dogs and other small critters in our house that made me realize how much I enjoy caring for animals. In my mid-twenties, I got my first dog as an adult. His name was Winston and he was a fawn pug. Winston helped me get through some very difficult times. Through his unconditional love, my connection to animals grew stronger. Through that experience, I realized that they give to us just as much as we give to them, if not more. Prior to pursuing a career in pet care, I worked in restaurant hotel management. Due to the extremely demanding work schedule this profession required, I had to hire pet care for Winston. Needless to say, I was unsatisfied with the quality of pet care that was being provided.
Eventually, the demanding schedule the hotel/restaurant industry required took a toll on me physically and mentally. I made the choice to improve the quality of my life and resigned from my position. As some of you know, I am not a person who sits around and does nothing. I started to look through The Advertiser’s “Help Wanted” section for a temporary job until I could decide what my next career path would be. Through my search, I connected with an established pet care service based in Antioch who was looking to expand into the Lake Forest area. I started my journey with 3 clients in Lake Forest and in 3 years I built my clientele to over 50 clients on my own. It was around that time I decided to start A Walk For All Seasons, LLC. The company I was getting work contracted through and I were able to come to a business agreement and we split amicably with the understanding that we would refer each other clients due to the fact that our areas of coverage would not overlap. To this day, we remain friends and professional acquaintances. I am grateful for my experience with that company and everything I learned while working with them.
In May 2009, A Walk For All Seasons, LLC was established. During this time I was pregnant with my son, Tyler and I walked dogs during my whole pregnancy. I was able to resume providing pet care to my clients when Tyler was nine months old. The main reason that A Walk For All Seasons, LLC has grown over the years is because of our amazing client base and our stellar reputation in the pet care community. Their referrals have brought us many clients and lifelong friendships. I cannot thank you enough for your unconditional support, dedication, and referrals. I am so fortunate to be able to take my passion and make it into my career. Thank you for making my dream possible. I have had the privilege of working with so many wonderful individuals and meeting incredible families and their critters throughout the years.
